Hi All,

I have a WD 6TB drive that contained one NTFS partition on my windows 7 machine. I did an upgrade to Windows 10 and in the process, it would seem that the partition on this 6TB drive got messed up somehow. This partition is not a boot partition and it holds videos, music, and documents. Windows shows it as being RAW and it does get a drive letter, however it cannot be accessed through explorer. Test Disk detects this as a "None" partition table type and doing a quick search on it reveals the majority of my files to be there in the correct structure. However, it says that write isnt available because the partition table type "None" has been selected. If I go back and select it as an Intel type and do an analysis, it does not seem to find my files. So, I am a little lost as to what to do next. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Under disk selecion, did you select Drive instead of your disk?

Please use the latest TestDisk 7.1WIP 32bit.

Yes, I selected the drive rather than the disk. I am running with the 7.1 WIP version now and I no longer see Drives listed. While I do see the disk I am having an issue with, it is not showing the correct size for it, while disk management shows the correct size but as a RAW partition. Is it safe to proceed even though it sees it as a smaller drive than it actually is?

Can you copy and paste the content of your testdisk log?
So, I'd be capable to check disk and partition size.
