Recover Deleted PGP Encrypted Partition

#1 Post by Ludeth »

Hey All,

I have a drive which had a good NTFS partition on it. The partition was encrypted wi Symantec PGP encryption. The drive was quick formatted and re imaged with Windows 7 and is now un-encrypted. I was hoping that test disk could locate the partition and I could copy it to an image or another drive or even that drive and then use a rescue disc to un encrypt it and then use photo rec to recover data. Test disk is not seeing any partitions except for the current active one. I have done quick and deep scans. Is there anything else I can do to attempt to recover or locate the old partition?

Thanks,
Ludeth

It's important that your disk is decrypted.
When you're sure, you can run a testdisk diagnose through Analyse, Quick Search and if nothing would be found Deeper Search too!
Can you copy and paste the content of your testdisk.log into your next post?
