Often 2.5 inch hdd's using 240 heads, but it didn't work in your case either.
Please have another try to use 16 heads, it's another standard.
Maybe it will find your correct Acer partition?

If it doesn't work, then I'll write you instructions how to add your partition manually and diagnose your boot sector.

I don't think I'll have time to try until this weekend.
Maybe I'll just reinstall my OS.
I'll post back if I have any results.

In case you'll reinstall your OS.
You can use Testdisk to copy/backup your important data.
Easily run TestDisk using partition table type None.
If your Acer Partition ist listed, list your files.
At the bottom of the screen, you'll see all commands.
For example you can mark documents settings or users and copy the entirely folder to another destination.
