Not sure if this is the place to put a "thank you" note, but here it goes:
A week ago the external drive of my girlfriend (WD Passport 640GB) suddenly would no longer appear in windows. It would however show up in diskmgmt.msc as a RAW partition.
The disk contains/contained photo's which have not been backed up since last year (maybe this time she will learn ). Thanks to Testdisk I was able to access the files on the "lost" NTFS partition of the disk and copy them to a safe location. This forum was a great resource in learning how to use the application.
THANK YOU ALL!!!
PS: Paypal donation will be made!
Photo's recovered from "RAW" external HDD Topic is solved
