My WD 3Tb My book went RAW overnight. Have not reformated.
When I select this HDD in Test Disk 7.1 I get:
heads/cylinders mismatches 251 <NTFS> ! = 255 <HD>

I'm 65yrs old, don't understand this and I'm stumped. Please help?

What I have:
WD My Book 3Tb
Windows 7
Test Disk 7.1

Run TestDisk, select the disk, confirm the partition table type, go in the Advanced menu, select the partition, choose, Boot, RebuildBS, List.
If you can see your files, choose confirm, Write, Quit and restart your computer.
