I made a "scandisk" and lost the system!

#1 Post by DRAGSTERTUNER »

Hi everyone...
I have 2 hds:
hd1 - debian kde
hd2 debian xfce + XP

Well...the main system is a xfce, and when i was using it, i discovered by gparted the another system was /dev/sda1...so i unmounted it and made a:

fsck.ext4 /dev/sda1
tune2fs /dev/sda1

But since i gave this command, i have a problem in the BOTH systems...the KDE system initializes, but stays appearing a lots of error messages...stay looping in READ DMA messages...and the xfce, this one evens boots...and gimme something like intramfs message.

Im using the testdisk software, but i dunno know how to use it to recover my system...some one can gimme a hint? THX!

The error message displayed on your console can be due to
- a weak power supply
- bad sector on one of the disks

You can try to boot with a single disk and check if the problem is still here, next try with the other disk.
