I used instructions on here and have found my listed files. I am really new to this and do not know what to do next. Do I copy them somewhere or do I press write, confirm, quit? If I do this will I lose all my files?

Without the log file, it's impossible to know what you have done exactly.
If all your partitions are listed, you can choose Write, confirm, Quit and restart your computer.
If you don't want to recover the partition but only your files, you can choose to copy them.
