lost access to external drive

Hi,

I cannot access my external drive anymore. I can see it under My Computer but I cannot get into it. With TestDisk I am now trying to fix it.
My colleague told me it could be an issue with partition but I am not sure now after giving it some try. It might be sth with boot sector or data file system.
I followed instructions from some posts and did Quick Search and Deeper Search, I tried to go through Advanced as well (but did not see Boot and Rebuild BS options). I am not advanced on it and was really trying things but did not find a post describing exactly the same issue that I have and cannot figure it out myself.

Searching partitions inside a partiton is useless.
Run TestDisk, select "Disk /dev/sdb - 500 GB / 465 GiB - CHS 60801 255 63, sector size=512", PC/Intel,
Advanced, select the partition, Boot, RebuildBS, List. If you can see your files, choose Write, confirm, Quit and restart your computer.
Please post the testdisk.log file content if it doesn't work.

Hi,

I followed your instructions. I got to the point where I saw the List of the files which I could recognize to a big extent. I chose Write and Confirmed and then Quit the TestDisk and restarted my laptop. However, I still cannot access the drive. When I try that it is always asking to start formatting which I refuse of course. Please find below the log but I replaced long lists of files in text with "HERE COMES LIST OF FILES WHICH I DELETE TO MAKE THE LOG SHORTER". I hope that is ok. Can you please help me on next steps I need to take?
BTW Files marked red on the List are files that myself-user deleted at some point of time in the past or they were deleted due to this error I am trying to fix now?
I will really appreciate your help.
