Partition recovery advice please. Raid enclosure mistake.

#1 Post by BustedLens »

I have two external 1TB HDDs that I synch using Synchredible.

I recently purchased a Raid enclosure for the drives to use in Raid 1 configuration.

I made the mistake of putting the drives into the enclosure and expecting it to just "plug and play". Instead, windows reported the drive was not initialised. At this point, I removed the drives from the enclosure to connect independently to ensure no damage had been committed.the

I now have two drives without partition information.

Drive 1 tested overnight with Test Disk and it reported FAT Jump 3 times by 85 percent of the Analyse phase.

I am reluctant to try further testing until I am sure of the best way to proceed as I face the loss of my entire photography collection

Any help in rectifying this issue is greatly appreciated. Please let me know what further information I can provide to assist in a possible repair.

Best,

Andrew
