Testdisk is not seeing my newly re-created drive array

#1 Post by DaveDog »

I believe I followed the instructions correctly...

Using the Intel Bios Utility I reset both HDDs to non-member
Re-created the array with the same name/format/member order (RAID1)
Booted from Windows 7 USB installation media
Went to system repair, command prompt and ran TestDisk

The only drives that appear are the USB drive and the windows RAM drive created to run setup

Any ideas for me?

It may be a problem of missing driver. If you run Windows Disk Manager, do you see the missing Raid 1 ?

The OS is on the array, I never have tried to run dskmgmt.msc from the recovery command prompt. Will give that a try.

Update:

Windows 10 recovery media found the array, so it must have been drivers not on the Win 7 recovery media.
