Recover deleted partition

#1 Post by Sridha3 »

Hello All,

During my Windows 10 installation process I've accidentally deleted one of single drive [Named as 'Extended partition' with a size of 150GB]. On deletion of that single drive, all my other logical drives are deleted [Which is 'D','E' & 'F' nearly 215 GB of data]. Now, I would like to know whether is there any way to recover my files of size 365 GB data.

Please guide me, if there are any options to recover data along with my partitions and also let me know the recovery process. I referred the pdf for testdisk. But I have few clarifications, such as

1. How to make as Testdisk executable file from USB (Since, OS is not available)
2. After finding my partitions can I just give the command 'write' to the laptop drive itself? or should I copy it into another external hard drive?

My Laptop details are as follows

My Sony Vaio laptop Model: VPCEB16FG
HDD: 500 GB (SATA Samsung)

Thanks in advance!

Read https://www.cgsecurity.org/testdisk.pdf
You will find how to create a Linux LiveUSB and how to use testdisk to recover your deleted partition.
Read at least the chapters "Creating a live USB", "Starting the tools" and "Recovering deleted partition using TestDisk".
