I just wanted to write and say THANK YOU for TestDisk - it totally saved my bacon!

8TB external RAID1 drive (WD My Book Pro, in case anyone is wondering), FULL of files that just disappeared suddenly after a reboot of my Mac. Just gone! Drive was no longer mounted and appearing in Finder as it should. After investigating in a panic, it occurred to me that the volume that should be appearing in Disk Utils was gone (the external drive was still showing up, just no volume under it), and that the problem was likely to be a corrupt partition table or something akin to it. So I hunted around for tools to help restore and TestDisk came up.

After a scan I was relieved to find my files present on the drive(s), and a copy of a single file worked, so I followed the instructions to recover the partition and now I've got my drive back, appearing as a mounted drive in Finder, with all files (as far as I can tell) present!

Thank you for TestDisk!!!
