Re: Deleted image.dd
If the file was stored on an FAT32, NTFS, exFAT, ext2 filesystem, run TestDisk, Advanced, Undelete.
Otherwise you can try PhotoRec, in FIleOpts, disable everything and only enable the filesystem type that was used by your image.dd file.

Re: Deleted image.dd
You have
- created the image.dd file with testdisk.
- delete the image.dd file
- wrote a message asking how to undelete the image.dd file.
Please read https://www.cgsecurity.org/testdisk.pdf and explain what your problem is, by example, why you have created the image.dd file at the first place and why you want to recover it.

Re: Deleted image.dd
Hi,
My hard drive crashed so i created a image.dd but i accidentally deleted my image.dd file from my other hard drive.
And now i want it back, because all the pictures and video's of my children are on there.
So how do i get the image.dd back.
I tried undelete, but it says no Undelete files.
I also tried to scan the crashed hard again but to many errors on the C drive and the D drive is now unallocated, because i did something wrong and on that one are the files.
So with what file system type do i need to get the image.dd back with photorec?
Or do i create a full copy with DDrescue from the crashed hard drive?

Re: Deleted image.dd
In your case, the best is to use ddrescue.
Good luck

Re: Deleted image.dd
Thanks because if i test it again with Testdisk i see this message in the log: Warning: can't get size for \\.\D:
disk_get_size_win32 IOCTL_DISK_GET_LENGTH_INFO
So there is no way to get my image.dd back from my other hard drive?
