Attempting to recover ntfs partition from san storage

#1 Post by shce11 »

Do I have to wait for the analyze to complete before I attempt to recover my ntfs partition ? I see my ntfs partition. This is taking quite a while. 35% in 24 hrs. It's been hanging on this screen for quite some time.

If you see your partition, choose Stop, no need to wait.
On next screen, check that the partitions you want to keep/recover are listed as *(bootable), P(rimary) or L(ogical) (Us ethe arrow keys to switch from Deleted if necessary)
When done, choose Write, confirm, Quit and restart your computer.

Actually, I thought I seen the partition I needed. I let it run a little more while. Then it came up with the one labeled [Docs-3Par] I think the one below it is the one I want to recover. I will press on the side of caution and let it run all the way through. It's san storage, no telling what's on there. I tried to sop it before. I didn't see option to stop. I just hit enter. I don't remember seeing any options to recover. If you look at the screenshot I posted, you see there is no "Stop" option to be highlighted. I had to start this whole process over. It's all blank when I scroll down.
