Recover Partition Table

#1 Post by xoro »

Hi,

I am running Debian on top of ZFS.
In this system I have a NVME SSD (/dev/nvme0n1) that is mounted as zpool zvms.

Yesterday a wanted to reinitialize a USB stick (/deb/sde) using gparted.
I created a new partiton table (mbr) and created a new FAT32 partition.
The problem is that I accidentally chose the NVME SSD (/dev/nvme0n1) in gparted.

Is it somehow possible to recover the zpool zvms or at least get the data from this NVME SSD?

Thanks for your help!!!

To recover the data, try PhotoRec, in Options, enable the expert mode, start the recovery, choose the smallest blocksize (usually 512 bytes), use the default options otherwise.
Please tell us if it works.
