Need some help with crashed HD partitions

Some time ago my 3Tb harddisk crashed, probably due to incompatibility of the controler with large GPT partitions.
Suddenly the disk appeared to have lost some 2,2Tb in size and showed only about 750Gb.

I connected the disk to another controler in my computer that proved to be stable on large gpt-partitions.

I tried to recover the partition with Testdisk, which was able to show the correct name and folder-layout of the crashed partition on it's screen from a back-up partition-table. But saving that partition to disk seemed not to work properly.

Now what are my options?
Could it be an option to save the data on the disk to another disk with photorec? Or should I do something else?

Please be specific in you answers for I am not a disk technician ;)

You have to select EFI GPT and not PC Intel.
If you restart TestDisk, do you see the correct partition size ?
In the worst case, you can use TestDisk to copy the files but it will be very slow with a 2 TB disk...

Thanks for your answer...

selecting EFI GPT gives this image:
2nd startup.jpg
2nd startup.jpg (34.91 KiB) Viewed 1552 times
the option [advanced] shows me this picture:

Which option should I choose now?

After a restart of the computer and a chkdsk the partition appears to be alive again... checked some of the directories for 0-size files and tried a couple of them... all appears to be alright for now..

So thanks for you help!
