TestDisks problems on Windows 7

I have the following problem: a wrong ghost image was put on a laptop harddisk, causing partitions with not-backupped files to be lost...

So I let TestDisk do a deep search, and it found the two partitions.

When I put one of the partitions to "L" (logical), and then write, it seems like the partition is back. However, I can only see this partition from within Ghost (file browse), not from for instance Volkov Commander or Mini Windows XP/7. How can I make this partition really visible?

Secondly, when I did a second deep search, selecting both lost partitions, I got an error message and went immediately back to the main menu (after 3 hours of deep searching...). I did it again, and then saw that the previously "L" partition was now back as "D" (deleted). How can that be?

Thanks for your help!

Would it be possible that you have to add a drive letter using your disk managemant console?
Did you check Ownership?
Otherwise;
Might be possible that your boot sector or file system is damaged.
You shouldn't change anything to a damaged file ystem, because it can increase damage.
You can diagnose your boot sector.
Infos like you can test it;
