WD My Passport 500GB salvable?

#1 Post by alibits »

Running "testdisk" I get problems in recovering the lost PARTITION.

Windows sees the HDD as RAW.....

Attach log file gives me (as amateur) no clues what to do next......

From what I read in this forum I thing the USB on the WD MY PASSPORT 500GB gone mad? IT's FAULTY?

Can I have some success doing an IMAGE FILE and working on the file? or some other procedure?

THANKS in advance for any helful answer!

Regards.....

Every read operation failed. There is a physical problem.
Try to clone the disk using ddrescue as described in https://www.cgsecurity.org/testdisk.pdf

Merci for your immediate answer.... I will try your suggestion and let you know for my results.

Meanwhile I am dealing with a problem with another WD My Passport 2TB drive and also open a separate topic about the history and the problems....

Thank You
