Can we have instead of (in the initial searching the devices) "Please Wait...." and a counter that "testdisk" searches something?
I think that this initial searching MUST BE TIME LIMITED and give ANSWER to the user HOW to continue with "testdisk".
Because with a defected HDD the "please wait..." sign gives NO feedback what "testdisk" does (working or freezed?).
e.g. In my case, detecting WD My Passport 2TB, takes too much ....time waiting and I found that forcefully unplugging the USB connection and replugging it, to continue with "testdisk".
Regards
P.S. When the devices HAVE NO problem the waiting is minimized without .....hanging time!
