Seek assistance in solving my problem - Disk Recovery- SECTOR ERROR

#1 Post by su700 »

EXCUSE ME - MY BAD ENGLISH - I`M AN OLD GERMAN BOY - BUT LUCKY FOR HELP
Seek assistance in solving my problem - Disk Recovery.
Prehistory:
accidentally erased the W 100 MB partition on the disk to free up disk space.
In the process, want to expand the further data partition.
(Capital error)

FIRST STEP:
With test disk the disk can read.
Use PhotoREc to backup the photos and documents.
(But I'm doubting if I have everything)

SECOND STEP:
Now try to restore the partition.
Did because of the message - CHS Mached - the Cylinder tried once to adjust,
then the old settings are made again.

MESSAGES FORWARD GOODS:
CHS 61042/254/63
H224! = 255
S19! = 63
(I have read these messages, should just be left, wg. New higher disk size access,
and just go on in the testdisk menu -)

CONCLUSION:
At the moment I get error message
BATH SECTOR ERROR

HELP:
Am I correct in assuming that I "shot up" the CHC?

ARE THERE DESPITE ALL A SOLUTION ROUTE AND HOW - THANKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

suche Unterstützung beim Lösen meines Problems - Disk Wiederherstellung.
Vorgeschichte:

MELDUNGEN VORWEG WAREN:
CHS 61042/254/63
H224!=255
S19!=63

Disk /dev/sdd - 500 GB / 465 GiB - CHS 60801 255 63

The harddisk (500 GB / 465 GiB) seems too small! (< 500 GB / 465 GiB)
Check the harddisk size: HD jumper settings, BIOS detection...

The following partition can't be recovered:

The CRC / read errors show that there are bad sectors. You should clone your disk to a new empty disk using ddrescue as described in https://www.cgsecurity.org/testdisk.pdf
Once it's done, remove the original disk and try to access your data from the clone. If necessary, try to repair the filesystem from the clone.
Good luck
