Recover accidently repartitioned and reformatted partition

#1 Post by SuperSKD »

When I wanted to reinstall Windows 7 I accidently deleted a drive. This drive is an SSD and it had only one NTFS partition previously (the Windows System was on another drive and should have been reinstalled to the same drive). During the installation menu I created a new EFI partition on the drive (only 100 MB) and the rest of the drive is now RAW. This is how it is detected in Windows. I used MBR before I reinstalled Windows.
I already managed to restore a lot of the files with PhotoRec, but I would like to try to restore the partition with the folders on it and so on. Is there any possibility to do this? The quick search in TestDisk only show the new EFI partition.
Any advice? Thank you!
