No way to specify approx. partition positions for Deep Search?

I'm in the process of recovering the partition table after it was completely wiped on the HDD. I was wondering why is there no way to specify approximate positions (start/end) of the partitions to speed up the process of Deeper Search?
I have a 2TB HDD and I know that the first partition was ~1.2 TB in size, where the last and the penultimate partitions were. In the end, it'd be possible to ±calculate all partition positions. So given the option, it's possible to at least reduce the search space by 1 TB/50% (for the end of the first partition, because it's start was completely wiped), then one could've selected the approximate ranges/sizes for the other partitions to look for.
Anyway, thanks for the software, I've just started and hope I'll be able to recover my wiped partition table and data of the first partially overwritten partition with TestDisk
