My Windows 10 computer crashed and could not find an OS on reboot.
No partitions were visible on the 1TB HDD,
I ran testdisk on another Windows 10 computer with the HDD attached via a USB cradle (Sharktool Quickport Combo).
Testdisk identified the HDD as Intel but my Windows 10 computer uses UEFI.
Testdisk retrieved 2 partitions but no boot partition.
I used the Write command and exited the program.
Minitool Partition did not see any partitions.
I then installed the HDD inside the original compueter and ran the installation Windows 10 DVD.
Diskpart shows three partitions (Extended and two partitions).
It reveals two volumes C and D.
I tried to create an EFI partition but it tells me that the disk needs converting to GPT.
So I know the partitions are there but I cannot access them.
I'm running testdisk again through the night in case someone can advise me.
Thanks
Recovered partitions do not show up in minitool partition

You can force the disk as EFI GPT when starting testdisk...
