Testdisk: Restarting takes too long time(8h+)

#1 Post by Pearce »

I had accidentally made my whole 250Gb disk to swap while trying to install Linux. I found out that testdisk can help me recovering my files, I install and run it on Ubuntu. Everything works perfect, I changed the type of my disk, and testdisk said I have to reboot to access my data. It's been rebooting for about 8h. Should I wait, is it still writing on that disk? Should I force the reboot. Thanks

Restarting your computer should not take more than 5 minutes...
