Recover Linux partition contents using Win7
Posted: 17 Jul 2012, 20:03
DLink DNS-321 NAS device with 2x 1Tb SATA HDD in Mirror. Device appears reset back to factory default. No reason to believe drives were formatted - just the device configuration the drives were in was "reset".
The device was used on a network and accessed exclusively with Windows computers. I am reading that the DLINK NAS devices use a Linux partition.
Using Windows7 and one of the SATA drives connected in an external drive bay, TestDisk can see the 900Gb+ Linux partition I need to recover files from but when I select "List Files" it tells me: "Support for this filsystem hasn't been enable during compilation".
What to do next to list/view/copy the file contents of the drive?
Thank you,
Gandalf.
