No Bootable Device after Write and Restart

Hi, I was not familiar with testdisk and partitions in general and did something wrong. I was trying to recover files and had no partition problems before this.
I'm using a Windows 10 64-bit laptop.
From memory, what I did was:
- Create Log
- Chose my only hard drive
- [Intel]
- [Analyze]
- [Quick Search]
- I can't remember this part, I think I pressed Q after the search (during the green texts)
- My poor knowledge led me to believe that all the partitions were searched since I think my hard disk has 3 partitions and I saw 3 line of texts.
So I didn't deep search and went straight to write. It said to restart so I did. After that my laptop won't boot. "No Bootable Device".
Would it be possible to fix this and recover everything if I use a bootable Ubuntu USB stick and run testdisk again from there? I don't have a copy of Windows.
What should I look out for?
