[Windows 7] Recover an accidentally formatted partition
Posted: 02 Mar 2020, 22:42
Hi,
i have an hard disk that has a partition with a Windows 7 installation (a NTFS partition) that was formatted and i need to recover it. This hard disk has not be used after the format and i hope to recover the lost partition
I’ve created an image with ddrescue to avoid any other wearing on it and i’m using that image to experiment with testdisk.
Here is after a deep scan:
I suspect that the partition i want to recover is the third one (because the second one has no file in it, listed with P option).
The problem is that using the P option "List files" show me this error.
I am missing something, are there any other steps?
Thanks for all the help!
