1. I downloaded the file by clicking the big green button that says TestDisk 7.2, on the following page:
https://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk_Download
2. Name of the file: testdisk-7.2.win.zip
3. Length of the file: 27581226
4. I ran the command `openssl dgst -sha3-512 testdisk-7.2.win.zip`in a bash console, but you can also use the following site and see for yourself that the hash is not the same as the one you posted.

Upon the first problem I wrote to you:

Am I demanding too much expecting that you tell me that your file size does not match mine?
When I speak about the "win64-version 7.2" didn't this raise a question for you that there are different versions around?

Maybe my expectations are inadequate.
I feel like I need to bang my head against the wall.

Please post your hash!

TestDisk is not a security application like Truecrypt or Veracrypt.
I strongly doubt that Christophe Grenier will modify the whole publication process so that the fast-changing 7.3-WIP will have hash files added upon.

If you fear virus contamination use virustotal.com to check your download or use

https://www.heise.de/download/product/t ... 3/download

The people at heise edition run antivirus software against the files that they download.

Keep in mind that cgsecurity.org is THE primary download source - everything else is secondary.

Here is my SHA3-512 hash for the file

testdisk-7.2.win.zip

with a length of

27.581.226 bytes:

96448B9ED41F9D7F62194727A337AA196B6136162BE24E287086B1685E3BB9C210551140D53D9511AF23584CD2889A0BBB1AACD2E8E5F8806BBCE13F05241095

Happy comparing!
