Boot Rebuild in Process... help with next steps

#1 Post by zaleorcid »

Hi .

Need advice what to do.
Maybe I assigned the wrong table type? I am working on a samsung ssd 860
I made it GPT (before I made it No partition NONE - maybe i ruined everything by doing this?)

got through to here:
got to boot sectors
bad boot
bad boot backup
Ran boot rebuild.
Did nothing, same screen same thing Bad boot backup, bad boot & they are identical

I am not going back to analyse cylinder under GPT table and it's taking forever, it wasn't taking this long before

THIS ALL STARTED because my bios wasn't seeing the drive (so i replaced the drive)
so now I'm working on it externally
disk manager says unallocated and cannot initialize - i/o error
but the properties on the disk also say that this device is working properly
Very confused - I've never had to go this far on any harddrives so any help is much appreciated thanks

Your drive seems to be broken. Please contact a professional recovery company.

Yea I did a deeper search that took forever, showed up nothing
I feel like testdisc does not give me a boot option any more.

Not sure what to do. Does anyone have a recommendation for a recovery company in Los Angles? Would it be total bananas to go to BEST BUY GEEK SQUAD and have them send it out to their experts??

Thanks

I once found this youtube video describing a "300 USD recovery".
It's not a recommendation of me. If you go there please describe your experiences afterwards in this forum:
