External Drive

#1 Post by Phantom »

Can someone give me a walkthrough on how I would make this program work on an external hard drive. I'm trying to recover an old drive that just recently stopped showing up when it was plugged into a usb on my laptop. And yes the USB cable is fine. When the external drive actually does show up the laptop says the file or directory is corrupted and unreadable. Not sure what else you need for information but any help would be awesome. Otherwise I may have to try freezing the "lovely" piece of equipment.

The most inportant thing might be a diagnose and a screen shot from TestDisk / Analyse as your current situation.
Also check your disk management console (I have no ides about your OS) how is your disk listed there.
Providing these infos helps a lot.
