"You must format the disk before you can use it" error

I'm getting this error when plugging my WD drive into my Windows 7 comp.

It takes about 3 - 5 minutes for this error to appear.

This is what I see in "advanced" section o TestDisk:

I'm not sure what to do. I'm able to select "undelete" files and "copy" them to another disk however it can take hours upon hours to transfer a 1gb file.

What's strange is when I start the copy transfer, it can transfer the first 100 - 200MB really fast (a couple minutes) but then it drops down to what seems like 100kbps.

I left the copy transfer on all night and after 12 hours I had about 4GB worth of data. At that rate it'd take a week to copy the files and I'm worried if the drive even has that long.

Any help is appreciated!
