Damaged Filesystem or not ?

#1 Post by margalas »

Hi. I have an old MAXTOR 120GB HDD i use to store all my photos (!). recently, for some reason, it became unaccessible from windows (saying "the disk structure is corrupted or unreadable"). disk management shows the HD as healthy and online but as RAW instead of NTFS. Testdisk identifies the partition but can't read the files and deep search resulted in "the harddisk seems too small". log file attached.
help will be very appreciated...

log file attached.
Probably something went wrong?
Can you either copy and paste the content or zip your log file and upload it?

TestDidsk should be executed as Administrator using rigght click and "run as Administrator" in case.
In case, please use TestDisk the 32 bit executable.
Don't select Drive but Disk if you get to the disk selection in TestDisk!
Please repeat your diagnose.
It looks like that your file system is damaged.
Check it, if your partition is found pressing p.
