I have the above hdd which I have attached externally but I cannot initialise it because of CRC errors. Can TestDisk help with this and if so what is the procedure. Personally I think the hdd is toast but I only want to use it as a backup drive if I can without rescueing any data. The hdd originally came out of a Tivo box.
