Hi all,
Trying to recover a Droid Bionic MicroSD card, 8GB. Wife lost pictures a week ago and when I dug in, it looks like the card wouldn't mount. After looking around, this SW seemed to be the best for fixing the OS or pulling off files.
In linux, fdisk -l shows full capacity, but weird start/stop sectors (not unusual for an SD card). But won't mount, bad superblock.
Testdisk found the partitition but the boot sector and backup boot sector were both bad (and the same). So I started it creating a new one.
It's been a little over an hour and it's just on the same screen:
1 *FAT32 LBA 0 32 33 966 80 10 15521792
Nothing underneath, no progress bar, etc.
Any idea how long an 8GB SD card would take? Computer is pretty fast (top of the line CAD/CAM workstation a couple years back). I've seen people talk about 1TB drives taking days, but wasn't sure if that was normal.
Goal here is just image recovery, so good enough to pull photos is all I need.
