Corrupted Hidden Volume file system

#1 Post by adapts »

I am wondering if there is any more information on this?
Corrupted Hidden Volume file system

If too much data has been stored in the standard volume or if you have tried to defragment the standard volume without protecting the hidden volume (truecrypt --protect-hidden), the hidden volume file system may be partially overwritten. TestDisk Advanced menu can be used to rebuild the missing FAT or NTFS boot sector.
I appear to have encountered this problem resulting in the following error.
hdiutil attach failed - no mountable file systems
So I enter [ Analyse ] and see the following.

Then I do a [ Quick Search ], and get the following results.

I completed a run of the TestDisk on the USB device, getting the following result.
TestDisk 6.14, Data Recovery Utility, July 2013

Disk /dev/rdisk3 - 15 GB / 14 GiB - 31244288 sectors

The harddisk (15 GB / 14 GiB) seems too small! (< 3179 GB / 2961 GiB)
Check the harddisk size: HD jumpers settings, BIOS detection...

The following partitions can't be recovered:
