Corrupt NTFS partition, testdisk shows Mac HFS

#1 Post by tomatpasser »

Hello

I have a Seagate external harddrive which I can't mount or anything. I am fairly certain it is NTFS formatted, but testdisk shows a lot of lines with "Mac HFS". It has been used with a macbook with the paragon ntfs driver. It should only have one partition.

I have analysed it with testdisk both quick scan and deep scan. It shows a lot of partitions, one of which looks like the one I want:

MS Data 63 1953520064 1953520002
NTFS, blocksize=4096, 1000 GB / 931 GiB

When I try to list files it says "Can't open filesystem. Filesystem seems damaged."
What should I do to repair the filesystem? I am fairly new to disk recovery.
I have made a backup of the disk with the command "dd if=/dev/sdc of=/mnt/storage/image.img conv=sync, noerror bs=64k"

testdisk.log attached. Any help is much appreciated!
