HDD Not Detected in BIOS after Rebuild BS

Hi,

I have a drive which contains 2 partitions, each with an operating system (Vista & XP). Windows reported some errors with the MFT and BS which was preventing me from accessing any of the data.

I attached this hard drive (WD Caviar SE WD1600AAJS 160GB) to another Win XP system to perform the testdisk functions. Initially testdisk found the drive and was able to list the files/folders.

First, I ran repair MFT, but it could not repair it. I then ran rebuild BS which took about half an hour. After this, the hard drive is no longer detected in the bios. I've tried it in another computer which also doesn't detect it in the bios.

Is there anything I can do to reverse what I've done?

Thanks.

Can anyone help me get my drive working again please?

Having done some research online, the symptoms would suggest that my hard drives firmware has become corrupt. Could this have been caused by testdisk, as it was detectable before I started using it?

If it doesn't help, you should do a diagnose using partition table type none.
