Hidden folders

#1 Post by rickomax »

Hi, yesterday I was looking some files at my external hard drive, everything ok.
I have a folder there where I make my backups, suddently, after trying to put this HD at another computer,
which caused a problem at the installation, only 3 from my 19 backup folders are visible.
The interesting stuff is that they appear at TestDisk, but not at explorer, as the screenshot shows:

Also, TestDisk is showing a duplicated folder (marked in yellow at the screenshot)
Any idea on how can I fix it?
I can copy the "hidden" folders to my actual hard drive, but I don´t have enough space for everything.

Can you copy and paste the content of your testdisk.log into your next post?
Did you try to go into your unknown folders through selecting it and using the right arrow key on your keyboard to enter it and watch the content?
When your file system is damaged, it'll advisable to copy your files.
Your testdisk.log can provide more info.
