Hello Experts

My windows 10 Dell xps laptop suddenly wont boot and kept going to BSOD with bcd file missing error.
Tried repair from a win10 USB, it couldnt find any windows installation.
Went to command prompt and did diskpart to find out that the volume (E:) where windows 10 and all of my personal data is residing had become RAW.
Am badly scolding myself to have kept the data in the windows partition. I am worried about getting the data back safely.
How can i use TestDisk to achieve this?
Plzzz help

Thanks

Read the chapter "Repairing filesystem" from https://www.cgsecurity.org/testdisk.pdf
If you still have problems, post exactly what you have done and the testdisk.log file if you have used testdisk.

I cant boot my laptop as the volume where both my windows and data is there had become RAW

I am booting from a Win 10 USB, are you telling that I run chkdsk /f from the command prompt (i get that option after i boot from USB and select repair-->troubleshoot)??

Will chkdsk replace/overwrite any on the volume, and i loose the data?

If i connect the USB stick that has the extracted testdisk folder, should i just run testdisk.exe, then do create log and do analyze?
where does it write the log file and where does it copy the files that i want to recover from the RAW volume?

I ran chkdsk /f, it ran for 4 hours and i restarted my machine, nothing changed, still my OS volume is RAW and not accessible.

I ran testdisk from the USB stick, it threw the below error
'The subsystem needed to support the image type is not present'

What should i do?

Thanks

Looks like, testdisk is not available for win10
