Hi.
I was trying to follow manual but It's out of my depth :)
If you could help me I'd love that.
Firstly I have experienced fatal error in Win7, I couldn't repair it because my whole HD was encrypted. Decryption took about 2 months because disc was in bad state. Lucky me I was able to decrypt.

Manuals didn't help me as this's out of my depth.
On data recovery my PC where laptop drive is attached froze after 2-3 days and I don't know where it happened. I can see I was able to recover some ie pictures, but whole process of recovery was showing to last up to 488h. I thought that instead of repeating whole process I either could recover HD to the state of opening in Windows or just recover Desktop content from system partition.

Try TestDisk, Advanced, Undelete and if it doesn't work, try PhotoRec on the partition (choose [Whole] instead of [Free])
Good luck

Thank you for response.

Photorec is running since sending first post as I wasn't sure when and if I receive any answer. For now i has 300h to finish recovery. It might finish sooner but also later -depending on HDD... But then it is only the beginning. There is few GB of photos that needs sorting by date and place and I will not recover picture locations [included in folder name].

If there is anything I can do to improve recovery....
I'll be obliged.

Thanks again
