I got this HDD from my uncle and i am trying to fix it, if i put this HDD in a pc the pc will go directly to the BIOS and wont BOOT, i dont have much info about it but i am pretty sure its 1TB size with 2 partitions, i dont care about the data i only want to format it and make it usable again, currently i am using it has and EXTERNAL HDD so far this is the info i got:
info:
WINDOWS:
IT takes some time showing on My computer, it shows 2 partition (G & T) both with 0 bytes ocupy and max size
in MANAGEMENT DISK (idk if that is the RIGHT NAME ) it has the following info (both):
-Raw
-Healthy
-Primary partition
i tried CHKDSK /f (and didnt do nothing, CHKDSK is not avaliable for RAW)
UBUNTU
after failing and many search on windows i went to ubuntu and tried there pretty much several commands and i got teh following errors (i cant remeber teh commands but ihope they will help a bit)
-NTFS signature error
-Bad Disk
-Cant write
After that i am right now on TestDisk, last hope if this doesnt work i will consider the HDD ready to throw to garbage can
info about attempt at TESTDISK:
-only detects one of the 2 partition
- (before start a quick search)Analyse: Partition: Read Error
-(after start)Read error at EVERYTHING (also stcuk in 0% so i didnt went all teh way up but i will go tonight)
-Tried to Add partition, Can't Write
THAT IS ALL I GOT SO FAR
should i give up or am i missing something?

Re: RAW/Bad disk HDD, trying to Format/Repair
Looks like at least one disk head is damaged. This disk is dead, use another disk instead.
