Hi
Unfortunately one of my Android Tablets caused problems with some exFAT mSD cards.
I ran CHKDSK and message "corruption was found while examining the boot region...Windows has made corrections to the file system".
Can TestDisk also correct mSD exFAT card "boot region corruption"?
Also does anyone know of an English forum that covers mSD card problems? Have done some searches but to date have not found any.
Thanks
Ken

Forgot to mention some of the corrupted mSD cards contain data which would like to keep.

Can you open the card ?
If then, there should be a hidden map called “found000” recover that and you’ll have you data back

If you didn't get your data, try PhotoRec.

Michell and cgrenier,
Thanks for your comments.
Am a Real Beginner
Need Clarification for "Can you open the card ? If then, there should be a hidden map called “found000” recover"
How do I access this hidden map? Am trying to learn more how SD card works.
Am also wondering if TestDisk can correct mSD exFAT "boot region corruption"(like CHKDSK)?
Last are there any English Forums that discuss mSD Card types of corruption?
Thanks again!!

When you plug your sd card into your pc, can you see it ?
If then click on it at open it so that you can see your folders and files.
Then go to your control center and find “map settings” a bit down you can select to hide or show “hidden maps” then click on show.
Now go back to your sd card and there should be a folder called “found000” in this folder you have all of the chkdsk fragments/deleted files.
Then open “Photorec” and used it to get your files back
You can copy the “found000” map to a empty usb stick and ran photorec on it, then you sure not making anything worse on your sad card but still have your files back.
As far as I know, there is no way to reverse chkdsk or repair it. I’m stuck with the same problem
