Hello dear all,

I require your assistance and help since I am lost with how to fix the problem and at least recover my data from a hard drive with Mac extension which was corrupted.

I have a Seagate drive which was compatible with MacBook, however some of the space was not defined and I decided to use a boot tool to establish unallocated space with exFAT extension.

I did it on Windows, however the result was not satisfactory for MacBook.

After that I decided to perform it with my Linux Ubuntu. Unfortunately, in the process of updating the Linux system the HDD drive which was connected to the system, was unplugged by mistake. After that it stopped to work properly.

I do not know how to repair my drive but I know that it was probably corrupted.

This article did not help, since it is for ext4: https://linuxexpresso.wordpress.com/201 ... in-ubuntu/

Please, help to fix my problem. I will be highly thankful for that.

Read https://www.cgsecurity.org/testdisk.pdf it describes how to repair filesystems.
If it doesn't work, use PhotoRec to recover your data.
Good luck
