I have the same problem I stumbled up on. It seems like your sd card is formatted on Android as adaptive storage. This means that all the data on your android_expand partition is encrypted. The key for the encrypted files is a 128-bit AES key, which can be found in /data/misc/vold. I am not sure if this is the case for you and me, but it could be an explaination why only the phone can read the card.

If you have format the phone, you are unable to decrypt the files...

Thanks for your reply, this seems to make the most sense. I was trying to swap the card from one phone to another and it is not working. I will try to get my old phone back, insert the card and then copy over the files. The old phone was reset, hoping that this will work. A lesson for those who are changing their phones.

I will try to root the android phone, and try to recover the reset data partition. Maybe I am able to get the key back, unless the data partition was not encrypted before.
