Resuming testdisk copying/not overwriting already copied files?

#1 Post by smntov »

I was in the middle of copying files (testdisk was able to list them!) from a corrupted external hard drive to a new location, as the process was interrupted. Is there a way to resume from the same place, as many GBs were already copied. Or if I have to start from scratch - is there a way to tell testdisk, not to overwrite existing files?

Thank you!

Currently the only way to restart the copy from scratch or to only select the directories that havn't been copied.

It would be nice to have some sort of synchronization ability, like in rsync.
Anyway thank you very much for this wonderful tool!
