LG-NAS 2 Died

#1 Post by greenr »

I had a RAID appliance (LG-NAS NSA2DF2) that recently died. I had it setup with RAID 1. Upon inspection with TestDisk, it lists the main partition of each disk as "Linux Raid". When I attempt to view files it tells me that "Support for this filesystem hasn't been implemented." Any thoughts on how I can recover my data or mount these drives?

Boot from a Linux USB key (ie. Fedora Live CD), as root, run "mdadm -a y" to activate the raid.
If LVM is used, you may have to run "vgchange -a y" and 'lvdisplay' To finish, mount the partition.
