Ext. HDD formatted by error

#1 Post by KaiserJuan »

Dear All,

I formatted my 3 TB ext. HDD by error - how can I recover my data using TestDisk? Do I have to go file by file or is it possible to recover everything at once?
I did not write anything on the disk after formatting!
I really hope someone can help . . .

As you have reformated your disk, try PhotoRec.
Good luck

Many thanks for your answer!

Can I recover the Directory and file structure and will the file names be there or do I have to rework everything?
Kind regards and thanks again!!
