Hello,
I have a 3TB external that has irreplaceable pictures of our kids on it. It stopped working. It fires up and spins but does not appear in windows. The few tutorials I have found about getting it to show up have not gone anywhere.
How can I use testdisk to potentially see the drive and recover the data?
Thank you,
John

Try ddrescue as described in https://www.cgsecurity.org/testdisk.pdf
If it doesn't work, you will have to contact a data recovery company.
