HD went to RAW and been trying to fix it

#1 Post by Pompey » 29 Jun 2019, 14:48

Sorry, if the answer is on the forum. I have been working on this HD with TD for about 2 weeks.
I guess I am not as smart as I thought I was. From one 4gig HD it had split into 2 before when hooked up to windows 7.
The boot sectors were rebuilt and were the same but I never got anything but garbage when looking for my files.
I started over so here is my question, what if anything can i do now to get the files back. The HD seems perfectly fine mechanically.
Thank you here are some screenshots and the log:
Well apparently the screenshots are to large.
Thank you very much for any help whatsoever.

Currently 2 partitions are listed. Is a single partition listed as raw by Windows or both ?

If you have a problem only with the partition
6 L FAT32 210656 5 59 259870 186 57 790634312
run testdisk, go in Advanced, select this partition, choose Boot, RebuildBS, List. If you can see your files, choose Write, confirm, Quit and restart your computer.

Okay I tried what you said and in the pics you will see what I got as answer. After trying to rebuild the bs from the last 'drive' it says both sectors are bad and doesn't rebuild them.

My apologies I had a senior moment it is a 4 TB drive. There was only one drive before it went bad.

Thank you
