Corrupted Master File Table
hi ive been having some issues with my comp over the past 2 weeks.. its been acting real funny. when i start my comp up it sometimes takes FOREVER to detect my IDE drives. my computer will randomly freeze and stop responding when im doing stuff. im constantly forced to restart my computer. it tries to do error checking on start up everytime and says there is a 'Corrupted Master File Table'. i dont know much about computers so its very frustrating to me.. im trying testdisk now but to be honest i have no idea what im doing but i managed to get to 'Analyses Cylinder' which i think is checking my harddrive? also im not sure if this is a part of it but my comp is randomly telling me i need to format my E drive but i dont have an E drive, and it tells me to scan it for viruses and nothing happens.. all i have is a C drive. not really sure whats going on with my computer. im pretty computer illiterate.
